Assembly of Bishops

When it comes to a religious organization, it is imperative to be both relatable and educational, while also being engaging.

As Social Media Coordinator for the Assembly of Bishops, I accepted this challenge and started the Instagram, which grew over 2,000% in 3 years. Now, our Instagram has over 2k followers, Facebook boasts over 7k followers, and Twitter and LinkedIn as secondary platforms continually increasing towards 1k followers.

Campaign: Namedays

In the Orthodox faith, everyone is baptized after a patron saint, who celebrates their “nameday” during a specific day each year. I decided that celebrating the Bishops of the Assembly on their respective namedays would be a great way to honor each of the Bishops, but also engage our consumers to interact with the Bishops and get to know each of them, decreasing the gap between laity and clergy.

I kept the graphics consistent and clean to align with the professional voice of the Assembly.

This campaign has had fantastic results, receiving the most engagement out of most of our posts. Our audience truly enjoys learning about each Bishop and having the chance to virtually engage with them.

Campaign: Peace of Mind

The Assembly of Bishops recently began training clergy and laity in Mental Health First Aid through their own program called Peace of Mind. Peace of Mind aims to bridge the gap of the lack of mental health aid in Orthodox churches and communities around the country.

For this campaign, the Assembly needed to convey the message of Peace of Mind easily to their followers so that they could easily understand what the program is and how to book it. This was executed through clear, compelling graphics.

Peace of Mind has garnered over 17,000 impressions and had a 5.87% engagement rate over the last 12 months.

Campaign: Accessibility Fundraising

For Giving Tuesday 2023, we decided to put out a campaign that was in the works for a few months. This fundraising was to help efforts to create an accessible version of the Orthodox services for those who are hard of hearing, deaf, blind, and more.

After filming and putting out this reel, it gathered more than 15k views in two weeks. Consumers loved that the campaign had true meaning and a tangible impact.
